
DM-Flytrap: An Unreal Tournament Deathmatch Map

I decided to make this map because I wanted to see what I could do with
warpzones in really odd angles.

The result is this somewhat unorthodox Deathmatch map "Flytrap".

The theme is based on those sticky yellow cylindrical flytraps you get
in stairwells and basements and such. People hang them from the ceiling
and bugs get stuck all over them. I think they coat them with something
that smells good to bugs.

Anyway, this level features a big yellow cylinder hanging from the
ceiling of a giant room. Players can run around on the sides of the
cylinder. You can go all the way around and everything.

This is my first real map so it's not perfect. For one thing, standard
bullets (i.e. the Enforcer, Minigun, and Rifle) can't pass through
warpzones so I left out the Minigun and Rifle. Also, the bots can't
actually see through a warpzone and, although I did path them to use the
warpzones, they aren't too bright about realizing that they're standing
only a few inches away from an opponent.

But I still think it's a pretty good map. It plays especially well with
lots and lots of real people, especially in Team Deathmatch. I included
exactly ONE Redeemer and it's not easy to find but, once you know where
it is, it's loads of fun.
